A little slice of Cuba

This is an interesting article.

Has anybody seen footage like this recently? I can't remeber the last time I watched the news on TV...

I get CNN 24/7 and that's pretty much the only thing I've watched since being over here. What a joy is mine. Can't say they are talking much about Cuba... secret CIA camps in Eastern Europe seem to be all the rage these days.

As for the article, it's the media - doesn't surprise me.

As for Cuba, I like beans and rice with platanos.

how's the Armenian fare?

Armenian fare is rather bland. They're not big on spices... they make excellent yogurt (the best I've ever had). When the fruit/vegetables are in season (which isn't right now, unfortunately), they can't be beat. Armenians like their grilled meat and dolma (stuff grape leaves or cabbage)... was in Georgia last weekend and their cuisine is much more flavorful.
